Abstract
The morphology and development of long stalk glandular hairs and short stalk glandular hairs on the leaves of Nicotiana tabacun in the way of paraffin section technology. The results were as follows:Their initial cells, which originated from the protodermal cells, created a basal cell,a stalk cell and apical cell through two successive periclinal divisions. The origination and early development of two types of glandular hairs were similar.During the late development,unicell-headed long stalk glandular hairs,multicell-headed long stalk glandular hairs and multicell- headed short stalk glandular hairs were respectively formed, which were due to the different division forms of stalk cell and secretory cell.
