Abstract
This paper presents inventory models for perishable items with stock dependent demand rate. Two possibilities of variation of the holding cost per unit are considered: (A) a function of length of time during which the item is held in inventory and (B) a function of the amount of on hand inventory. The existence and uniqueness of the models are discussed, and optimal inventory policies are found.
