Abstract
This paper deals with the adsorption of sediment for Pb,Cd,Cu in the Yangtze River estuary. The experiments show that the organic materials on sediment surface, potential of solid-liquid interface,pH and temperat-ure in the medium affect the adsorption.pH in medium affects not only the hydrolysis of heavy metal ions, but also the ζ potential of sediment. The adsorption of sediment for Pb,Cd,Cu follows Freun- dlich isothermal equation.
