Abstract

A new nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive model obtained from the threedimensional nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive relations by Stieltjes convolution and the elasticity recovery correspondence in the form of threedimension constitutive is proposed in this paper. The nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive model is applied to forecast the stress responds of singleaxis tension to different strain rates as well as those responds to equiamplitude cyclic strain for polypropylene tests. The fact that the nonlinear viscoelastic constitutive model based on the elasticity recovery correspondence principle can be used to describe the constitutive behaviors about a class of nonlinear viscoelastic material as polymer is verified by the theoretic calculations.9figs.,23refs.
