Comment on the Main methods in Modern Foreign Language Teaching

One of the features of foreign language teaching lies in the constant development of the teaching methodology. Ever since the beginning of the foreign language teaching practice, foreign language teaching methods have undergone gradual changes, transforming from the transitional methods to various ways. However, the foreign language teaching practice proves that no method is perfect. Therefore, foreign language teaching should not be confined to one particular method. It is advisable that we turned to different methods for help when facing different tasks and contents. But to do that, we need to have a good understanding of the language and learning theories beneath these methods. In this way, we may expect to improve our language teaching efficiency. This paper makes a comment on the three main foreign language-teaching methods and analyzes the development trends of foreign language teaching methods in 21stcentury.
