Abstract

A new fluorescent DNA probe,{2-(2-thienyl)-1H-imidazo[4,5-f][1,10]phenanthroline-κN7,κN8}bis(1,10-phenanthroline-κN1,κN10)nickel(Ⅱ)complex,in total yield of 38.2%,was synthesized from 1,10-phenanthroline by oxidation,condensation and complexation.The structure was characterized by MS and elemental analysis.
