Abstract
The adsorption characteristic of bamboo charcoal on Cr(Ⅵ) in aqueous solution was studied;the influences of pH value,adsorption time,initial concentration and some other factors on the adsorption effect as well as the kinetic properties thereof were discussed.The results showed that,in the acid solution,lower the pH value,longer the contact time,lower the initial concentration,better the adsorption rate of Cr(Ⅵ) could be.The adsorption behavior of bamboo-charcoal on Cr(Ⅵ) could be described by Langmuir equation with the correlation coefficient of 0.997 3.The adsorption kinetics followed pseudo-second-order kinetic model with the correlation coefficient over 0.99.
