Abstract
Objective This study was designed to detect the concentration of cytokines TNF-α、IFN-γ、IL-4、IL-10 and assess its clinical significance in different liver diseases. Methods A blood sample was collected from 165 patients of liver diseases which were admitted to First Hospital of Jilin University from Feb.2006-Feb.2007,among which 36 were severe hepatitis,54 HBV related cirrhosis,46 chronic HBV hepatitis,15 acute HBV hepatitis patients.14 healthy people were chosen as control group.the liver diseases were diagnosed on the basis of《prevention and cure of viral hepatitis》and 《Hepatic failure guideline》.Double sandwiches ELISA was used to detect serum cytokines concentration. Results IFN-γ,TNF-α,IL-4 concentrations in acute and chronic HBV hepatitis,HBV related cirrhosis and severe hepatitis groups were increased significantly than that of normal control group(P0.05),while IL-10 showed no difference between liver disease group and normal control group.Among liver cases,IFN-γ concentration in cirrhosis group was significantly higher than that of chronic HBV hepatitis and severe hepatitis group(P0.05).IL-4 concentration in severe hepatitis group was significantly higher than that of acute and chronic hepatitis B(P0.05).Conclusion Cytokines such as TNF-α,IFN-γ and IL-4 play an important role and involve in the fibrogenesis and anti-fibrogenesis in the HBV infection.Proinflammatory factors of TNF-α,IFN-γ and anti-inflammatory factor of IL-4 work together in the course of severe hepatitis.
