Abstract
A new complex constructed from a unit with two As3O6 rings capping Anderson-type moieties, (H2en)3[(NiO6)Mo6O18(As3O3)2]- Cl2·6H2O (en = ethylenediamine), has been synthesized and characterized by IR, UV, XRPD, single-crystal X-ray diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. The compound crystallizes in triclinic, space group P-1 with a = 0.94190(6) nm, b = 1.08612(8) nm, c = 1.10976(8) nm, α = 95.6890(10)°, β= 92.6460(10)°, γ= 90.8800(10)°, V = 1.12828(14) nm3, Z = 1, R1 = 0.0441 and wR2 = 0.1189. The compound consists of an Anderson-type capped by a two-ring(As3O6) unit [(NiO6)Mo6O18(As3O3)2]4-, two Cl- cations, three (H2en)2+ and six water molecules, which exhibits a 3-D supramolecular structure.
