Abstract

In order to recycle BF dust bearing Zn and Pb of an iron and steel plant in Hunan province and produce high ZnO value, a lot of experiments were carried out during iron bath process. The effects of reduction time, reduction temperature and liquid iron amount on separating Zn and Pb from BF dust were discussed. The results are as follows: ① The reduction temperature has obvious effects on the evaporation of Zn and Pb; ② Liquid iron can significantly improve the reduction rate of zinc oxide and lead dioxide; ③ The optimum temperature of separating Zn and Pb must be controlled at 1 0501 250 ℃; ④ ZnO amount in collecting matters is about 87 %.
