Abstract

Four practical photo-/thermo-sensitive genic male-sterile lines,YW-2S,Guangzhan 63S,1103S and Peiai 64S,were conducted under a 5-day length artificial low temperature treatment of 22.7 ℃ during their sensitive stage to temperature for fertility alteration. The results of investigations on fertility expression showed that they had showed various degrees of sterility fluctuation and a sterile line with lower pollen sterile rate would not absolutely have a higher self seed setting.
