On the Ethical Implication of the Pre-Qin Confucian Pursuit of the Unity between Heaven and Man

Abstract
Traditional Chinese ethics is based on the spirit of pursuing the unity between Heaven and man.The pre-Qin Confucianism held that Heaven is the source of human value and morality and that man could react to Heaven actively.In the relationships between man and Heaven,Heaven and man are in unity in essence,which leads to the unity between human morality and the essence of Heaven.The unity between Heaven and man is actually the unity between the morality of man and that of Heaven.
