Abstract

Hepatic cavernous hemangioma is the most common benign tumor of liver. Its exact pathogenic mechanism is not clear yet.Being lack of special clinical symptoms, the diagnosis is dependent on ultrasonography、CT、MRI、arteriography and dynamic radionuclide-imaging.The asymptomatic hepatic cavernous hemangioma isn′t necessary for treatment. But thetumor should be treated once it has such situations as its obvious clinical symptoms, the rapid growth, the size of the tumor over 4cm,or the possibility of hepatocelluar carcinoma can′t be excluded.Treatments of hepatic cavernous hemangioma include surgical treatment, intervention and radioation therapy. The choice of therapeutic method is based on the size and the location f the tumor, the liver function and the general condition of the patient.
