Abstract

PLA filaments were made from PLA chips by melt-spinning and then drawing two step method.The effects of spinning temperature,spinning rate and drawing ratio on PLA filament performance were investigated.The results show that the PLA has good fiber-forming behavior.The changes of the spinning temperature and rate in melt spinning have obvious effect on the relative molecular mass of PLA filaments.
