Abstract

Objective To investigate the characteristics of cerebrovascular lesion by aortocranial digital subtraction angiography(DSA) in patients with ischemic cerebrovascular disease (ICVD). Methods The distribution of lession vasels ,stenosis degree and compensatory condition of collateral circulation of intra-extracranial vascular were detected by DSA and anlysed in 84 patients with ICVD [including 50 cases of cerebral infarction(CI),21 cases of vertebro-basilar artery insufficiency(VBI) and 13 cases of transient ischemic attack(TIA)]. Results In the 84 patients with ICVD,the rate of intra-extracranial vascular stenosis was 82.1% (69 cases). 166 intra-extracranial arteries with stenosis of different degree were detected and 59.7% of them was in anterior circulation and 66.9% of them was in intracranial artery. The highest incidence of single vascular stenosis was extracranial internal carotid artery (21.7%). The degrees of stenosis arteries from 1~4 were 27.1%,40.4%,6.6% and 25.9%,respectively. The appeared compensation of Willis circle collateral circulation was 58.0% in CI group,33.3% in VBI group and 23.1% in TIA group. Conclusions DSA can be accurate evaluation the distribution of lesion vessels, stenosis degree, and compensatory condition of collateral circulation of intra-extracranial vascular in patients with ICVD. So as to provide basement for the clinical treatment.
