Abstract
Objective To investigate the connexin43 overexpression of detrusor smooth muscle cells(DSMCs) by cyclic stretch.Methods The DSMCs growing on collagen-coated silicone membrane were subjected to cyclic stretch-relaxation.The Cx43 and Cx43 mRNA expression in DSMCs were detected with Western blotting and RT-PCR.Results The Cx43 and Cx43 mRNA expression of control DSMCs were respectively(11.377 5±0.425 1) and(0.423±3 0.187 5),and that of DSMCs subjected to cyclic stretch-relaxation were(14.015 0±0.526 2) and(0.935 0±0.020 67),with significant difference between the two groups((P0.01)).Conclusion The connexin43 overexpression in DSMCs could be induced by cyclic stretch.
