Abstract
In the present study,a loop-mediated isothermal amplification(LAMP) method for detection of Akabane virus was developed using a set of primers designed according to the S gene of the virus.Under the optimized reaction conditions, the LAMP was specific to amplified the DNA from Akabane virus with a detection limit of 11.5 copies of the virus, and had no cross reaction with bluetongue virus, bovine viral diarrhea virus and infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus. The established RT-LAMP technique in this study was rapid, sensitive and specific detection of Akabane virus, which is suitable for the application in field surveillance.
