Abstract
Electrochemical properties of Fc-C(CH_3)_2-Fc (Fc = C_5H_5FeC_5H_(4~-)) (1),Fc-C(CH_3)_2-(C_5H_4)Fe(C_5H_4)-C≡CH (2),and Co_2(CO)_6[Fc-C(CH_3)_2-(C_5H_4)Fe(C_5H_4)-C≡CH] (3) in acetonitrile solution are studied by use of the cyclic voltammetry method. Results show that there exists significant electro-communication between ferrocenyl groups. The iron atoms of ferrocenyl groups in both (2) and (3) have greater electronic interaction on each other than in the parent compound (1).
