Influence of China's Cotton International Trade on World Cotton Price

As a kind of field crops, cotton has a longer industrial chain, and its production and consumption not only affects the economic benefit of the farmers, but also bonds closely to the related industry. The China's import amount of cotton increases since China joined in WTO, in 2009, the import amount is 33.7% of the domestic consumption, 25.4% of the global trade amount. The increase of cotton import, especially the high-price imported cotton, will definitely do harm to the cotton production enterprise and lead to the decrease in the economic benefit. This paper analyzes the influence of China 's cotton international trade on world cotton price.
