An Analysis of the Fubo Faith in the Western Hunan Province in the Qing Dynasty

In the early years of the Eastern Han Dynasty,Ma Yuan the Fubo General undertook an expedition in western Hunan and died of an illness in Hutou Mountain.After his death,local people worshiped him as a god and built a temple for sacrifice and worship.With the times changing,Fubo God possessed the major power of Loyalty God and Water God,and finally became a God with endless power.Besides,some ethnic groups in the western Hunan worshiped him as their ancestor and set up their cultural positions with the help of the cultural influence of Fubo Faith,which shares the similarity of the localization of Fubo Faith in the coastal areas of Guangxi.
