Clinical Profile of Applications of Different Acupuncture Methods in Treatment of Post Stroke Depression

The acupuncture and moxibustion theraphy plays an important role in the treatment of PSD, which is a common complication of stroke. Particularly,the applications of the methods of the acupuncture and moxibustion therapy are many and varied,which can greatly improve the curative effect in treatment of PSD. This article is a conclusion of the methods used in recent 10 years,which can be divided into body acupuncture,scalp acupuncture,nape acupuncture,moxibustion,auricular point sticking and so on. All these methods can obviously improve symptoms of depression and promote the recovery of nerve function. Additionally,the acupuncture and moxibustion therapy is green and had no toxic or side effects,which is worthy for clinical use.
