Regional differences of population distribution in Ningxia

In order to explore Ningxia population distribution from 1980-2008,the development of Ningxia population and spatial distribution in each city and county regions have been researched by using natural population density,comprehensive economic density and florence curve in qualitative and quantitative methods.The conclusion shown that the populations of all regions changes rapidly,and it tends to the cities where has high social and economic development level in the north and central of Ningxia.Government's immigration policy plays important role of population distribution,and the historical population basis distribution has less effect on the population distribution.Population growth of southern mountain region is negative;There is sparsely population in the central arid,densely population in southern mountainous area and northern river areas,the distribution is uneven.
