Abstract
Recycled PET was modified with chain extender pyromellitic dianhydride to achieve chain extension and viscosity increasing. The chain extension results were investigated from intrinsic viscosity and carboxyl end group value. The effect of different chain extender addition on the thermal properties of recycled PET was studied by DSC.The results show that the chain extender has good chain extension and viscosity increasing effect, when the mass fration of the chain extender is 1.25%,the intrinsic viscosity of rPET is 0.813 dL/g,which has reached the using request of engineering plastics, and also it has effect on cold crystallizing behavior of PET.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
