Abstract

Objective To assess the safety and therapeutical efficiency of dual-wire balloon using in treating coronary artery in-stent restenosis. Methods Eighty-two lesions out of 70 patients with more than 70% restenosis were included after coronary angiography.Dual-wire balloon angioplasty was performed in these lesions.Quantitative coronary angiography(QCA)analysis was used to analyze dilatation efficiency and clinical follow-up visit was also performed. Results Success rate of dilatation was 100%.QCA analysis indicated that target minimum lumen diameter(MLD)significantly increased from(0.76±0.52)mm to(2.64±0.41)mm(P0.001) while diameter stenosis(DS)decreased significantly from 87.7%±8.4% to 8.6%±6.9%(P0.001).No cardiovascular events occurred during the follow-up visit. Conclusion Dual-wire balloon angioplasty is effective and safe for the treatment of in-stent restenosis.
