Abstract
Polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)composite membranes were prepared by means of the solvent complete evaporation. It was shown from the experiment results by separating MTBE/MeOH mixture that the optimum making membrane conditions are the concentration of PVA:7% (mass fraction),the concentration of maleic acid:3% (mass fraction),the temperature of heat treatment:130~150 ℃.CTA hollow fiber membrane was modified for pervaporation by soaking in 1%~2% (volume fraction) acetone aqueous solution for 4~8 hours. The separation performance of CTA hollow fiber membrane modified was superior to that of the other cellulose ester membranes. The separation performance of PVA/CA composite membrane was superior to that of PVA/PAN composite membrane for MTBE/MeOH mixture.
