Study on the Relativity between In-Use Vehicle Emission and Catalytic Converter

The relationship between vehicle emission and noble metal content in catalytic converter was analyzed after comparing the emission test data and catalyst check result of two different types of vehicles.And the influence factor of nonmetal content in catalytic converter was explored.The results indicated that the noble metal content in catalytic converter of high emission vehicle is lower than the one in new catalyst converter;there is no obvious difference between the noble metal content in catalytic converter of normal emission vehicle and the one in new catalytic converter;noble metal mixture ratio in catalytic converter has a significant influence on vehicle emission;noble metal mixture ratio in catalytic converter,fuel quality and engine oil quality are the main factor for influencing the nonmetal content in catalytic converter.
