How to apprehend historical materialism,it is a still lasting argumentative problem.Those who discuss this problem almost admit the of historical materialism which takes history as its object of researches and as a theoretical method,those are with double meaning,but they are with ambiguity. In order to radically clarify the nature of revolution of historical materialism,the problem of relation is an evasive problem of principle. It is that historical materialism is a method or principle of explanation,it is possible to take historical materialism as an object of researches. As social existence of object of theory of historical materialism is not lay there in directive viewing,it appears in the theoretical field of vision.
