Abstract
The research in precision agriculture in international was reviewed in this paper, which included the origin of precision agriculture, technique system development, research progress and application in different countries. The research history and actuality of precision agriculture in China were introduced. Additionally, the modes of precision agriculture based on the high technologies as information technology both in large-scale farming system and small-scale farming system were discussed.
