Abstract
The growth curve of Dehua black chicken from 0 to 18 weeks was fitted with three nonlinear models. The correlation coefficients(R~2) of the chicken's growth data with the Gompertz,Logistic and von Bertalanffy models were 0.9998,0.9987,and 0.9996,respectively.Using the Gompertz model, which had the highest R~2,the maximum applicable adult body weight was found to be 1754.7g,the critical body weight,815.22g,and the critical age of the chicken,8.819 weeks.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
