Abstract

Cold shock domain proteins are highly conserved nucleic acid-binding proteins identified widely from bacteria to higher animals and plants. The evolution and structures, biological functions, and relations between structures and functions of cold shock domain proteins in plants were reviewed. The prospects of studying plant cold shock domain proteins in the future were discussed.
