Abstract

In this paper, retrofit method is illustrated, the prototype engine is a 4-stroke single-cylinder petrol engine, the author add a camshaft position sensor and a solenoid valve controlled by the single-chip to make the engine an electronic controlled air-powered engine. An experimental study is conducted on the engine to find the variation rule at different injection pressure and injection Pulse-width and a new controlling system is propounded, which is the angle fixed pressure controlling system. The result shows that the engine speed will increase by adding injection pressure. The coefficient of utilization of compressed air is higher when the injection is near the TDC.
