Analysis of causes of postoperative delayed bone union with interlocking intramedullary nail

Objective To discuss the causes and treatments of delayed fracture healing with interlocking intramedullary nail.Methods Through analyzing the 13 cases of the patients who had been delayed bone union(or non-union) with interlocking intramedullary nail,we obtained the common and characteristic causes of them for clinical treatment.Results By active treatment,most of the patients who had been postoperative delayed bone union(or non-union) with interlocking intramedullary nail,have been well-healed.Conclusions Only by fully understanding the biomechanical properties of interlocking intramedullary nail,and correctly selecting fixation methods can we tend towards the benefit and avoid the harm,and then get the satisfactory effect.
