Abstract

The host rock for mineralization of the Shuangqishan gold deposit is middle proterozoic metamorphic rock. Two mineralization types in the Shuangqishan gold deposit have been recognized: namely the and altered structure rock type. The schist-quartz vein type gold mineralization is mainly controlled by NW320°~340° faults while altered structure rock type gold mineralisation is mainly controlled by nearby-SN or NNE trend fault. The ore of the Shuangqishan gold deposit belongs to less sulfide ores. The main sulfide is pyrite, with less galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite is only presented in the Shuangqishan gold deposit. The content of sulphides is less than 2%. The hydrothermal alterations near the ores which is related with gold mineralization are silicification sericification and pyrophyllite. The guideline for exploration of the Shuangqishan gold deposit is the gold mineralization of altered structure rocks type controlled by nearby SN or NNE trend faults
