Study on Vegetation Plant Diversity of Xiaoxi National Nature Reserve in Hunan

Based on the investigation of vegetation and plant diversity,there are 2 702 species of vascular plants belonging to 221 families,974 genera in Xiaoxi national nature reserve,among which 8 families,17 genera,25 species were gymnosperm,and 172 families,860 genera,2 381 species were angiosperm,41 families,87 genera,296 species were fern. The diversity features of this region showed a complex flora, with ancient origin,abundant special species and rare endangered species,as well as resource plant types. The vegetation in the reserve was constituted by the types of broad-leaf,needle(including needle and broad leaved mixed forest) and shrub. The spectrum of altitudinal distribution of the vegetation was evergreen broad-leaf forest and evergreen and deciduous broad-leaf forest.
