Abstract
With the development of Global Positioning System(GPS)technology,GPS elevation obtains unprec-edented applications in construction.In order to prove that the GPS fitting elevation could meet the application of engineering in plane area with modern GPS survey technology,some common methods applied in GPS elevation fitting were introduced briefly in this paper.For the control points and the third-grade leveling,the normal heights of the points were computed by the fitting model of plane and curved surface.Compared with the result of leveling,the GPS elevation fitting precision was analyzed.The conclusion is that the GPS leveling elevation with fewer fitting mean square error and high precision can be obtained in surveying of level C GPS control network.
