Abstract

As one of the eight largest petroleum production regions in the world,Africa′s reserve and production of petroleum have increased greatly in recent decade. The distribution of petroleum in Africa is mainly in the negative region in the inner platform or in the aggradational basin of shore zone. The five highest petroleum production countries in Africa are Nigeria,Algeria,Libya,Egypt and Angola. The authors analyzed the importance of Africa petroleum in the world oil supply and demand and the relationship with the petroleum trade of America and Europe. It is showed that the level of petroleum industry in Africa is comparatively low but there is great developing space.Like fast increase of Chinese petroleum trade, there are still some problems in Africa petroleum trade. Some suggestions, such as national plan as a whole, collection of survey, developing and financing unit as Angola model and the strengthening the relationship of local petroleum corporation with America′s and Europe′s,are put forward.
