Abstract
Objective To investigate the relationship of tissue factor(TF)expression and angiogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Methods The expressions of TF and CD34 in 50 specimens of HCC and corresponding normal liver tissue were detected by EnVisionTM immunohistochemistry. Results Positive rates of TF and microvessel density(MVD)in HCC were higher than those in normal liver tissue [62% vs.6% and(51.14±24.97)vs.(18.70±6.35)](P0.05).MVD of HCC was significantly higher in TF-positive group than that in TF-negative group(P0.05).TF expression was correlated to vein invasion, intrahepatic metastasis, and the tumor without envelope(P0.05).Cox regression analysis showed that TF was an independent prognositic factor of HCC.Conclusion Overexpression of TF relates with metastasis and invasion of HCC.TF expression may be taken as a prognostic indicator in patients with HCC.
