Abstract
As a new concept and style of tourism planning, strategy planning of regional tourism development can help to supplement and perfect the existing tourism planning system. This paper starts with a definition of the conception of Strategy Planning of Regional Tourism Development and an explanation of its connotation. It then proposes a competition-oriented framework for studying strategy planning of regional tourism development, discusses the quantitative evaluation method of the competitiveness of regional tourism, and ends with a case study of Gansu province.
