Abstract

Objective To study the relationship between distortion product otoacoustic emission(sDPOAE)andpure tone audiometry, and to clarify the corresponding connection between f0 and pure tone audiometry on testingfrequencies. Methods Pure tone threshold, hearing loss, SNR of DPOAE were performed in 20 (40 ears) adults withnormal hearing and 100 (179 ears) patients with cochlea hearing loss. The correlative coefficients between DPOAE andpure tone audiometry were aiquired. Results There is a negative correlativity between DPOAE and pure toneaudiometry. When f0 is 0.5、0.75、1.0、1.5、2.0、3.0、4.0、6.0、8.0 kHz, there is a better negative correlativitybetween DPOAE and pure tone audiometry on testing frequencies of 1.0、1.0、1.0、2.0、3.0、3.0、4.0、6.0、8.0 kHz.when f0 is 0.5、0.75、1.0、1.5、2.0、3.0、4.0、6.0、8.0 kHz,their relative best frequencies of pure tone audiometry are0.75、1.0、1.5、2.0、2.5、3.5、5.0、6.0、8.0 kHz.Conclusions There is a negative relationship between DPOAE and puretone audiometry, and there is a definite corresponding relationship bewteen the DPOAE testing frequency and pure toneaudiometry threshold.
