Abstract

Desertification is a main environmental problem causing extensive attention all over the world.China is one of the countries to be affected severely by desertification.Land desertification mostly occurred in arid,semi-arid and semi-wet areas. Soil water has very important effect on ecosystem stabilization,structure and function of the areas,even affects the probability holding back desertification harm.So,it is important to systematically study space-time pattern and dynamic laws of sandy land moisture,which have crucial significance to prevent desertification,renews the degenerative ecosystem.This review generalizes the internal and overseas research actuality of sandy land moisture dynamics,points out the present problems and vacancies in research.It is suggested that future research should give attention from having a methodological breakthrough,innovating the experimental instrument and developing the research field.
