Abstract

The inhibition of biocontrol agent Paenibacillus polymyxa HY96-2 on Ralstonia solanacearum Nb-1 was determined in vitro. Result showed that the inhibition rates were 20.1% and 24.7% by dual culture and double layer culture methods, respectively.Greenhouse trials demonstrated that soaking root was the best way to use the ferment fluid of HY96-2 and its product KDLD to control tomato bacterial wilt disease.Control efficiencies were 77.8% at 21 days after soaking root with HY96-2 ferment fluid and 81.5% at 20 days after soaking with 100 times diluted KDLD.Field tests showed that 100 times diluted KDLD prevented the disease in all growing season of tomato with control efficiency 81.8% at harvest.
