Vitalizing Endlessly with Passion and Reason——On Fang Dongmei's life ontology

On how to realize modernization of Chinese philosophy,the former three generations of modern Neo-confucianists devoted themselves to reconstructing metaphysics,showing self-consciousness of creating ontology.As one of important people of modern neo-confucianist,unlike others who adopted way ofnew ideology of mindandnew doctrine of principle which was inherited from Confucianism of Song-ming dynasty,Fang Dongmei returned to original Confucianism and Taoism of Pre-Qin.Through his process of hunting after the meaning of Taichu and noumenon of universe and life,we can see his intention of into and ultimately west into east clearly.Simultaneously,we also can see logic progress from putting forward core concept life,to explaining its function,furthermore corroborating its position of ontology.
