Discussion of treatment determination in TCM emergency,from effects of medications will be detected after the first decoction and the disease can be cured after the second decoction

Objective To introduce Prof.Yandexin's experience of TCM emergency treatment with an emphasisi on that of medications will be detected after the first decoction and the disease can be cured after the second decoction.Methods The TCM therapies in severe acute diseases,for example,the stubborn headache treatment of Xuefu zhuyu decoction,the acute pneumonia treatment of Feiyanfang,the acute pancreatitis treated by Jingyi decoction,the Jue-ni treatment of Fuzi and Banxia compatibility,the asthma treatment of Mahuang fuzi xixin decoction,the pulmonary heart disease treatment of Didang decoction and Tinglidazaoxiefei decoction,the epistaxis treatment by Jiangqiqinggan,the SARS treatment by combination of TCM with western medicine etc introduced by Prof.Yan were presented.Results Effects of medications will be detected after the first decoction and the disease can be cured after the second decoction.Five cases were cured and 3 improved.Conclusion The diagnosis and therapeutics,treatment determination based on syndrome differentiation of TCM emergency are very important contents of TCM.Traditional Chinese medicine therapies have great effective in severe acute and refractory diseases treating.TCM and herbs can cure severe acute diseases and have good effects in case TCM doctorsare hardihood and careful,masting syndrome differentiation,accurate herbs usuage,exact including eliminating and reinforcing.
