Abstract

No-tillage is useful to control soil erosion and erosion in the earth's surface and soil degradation, thus,it may be one of the best measures to replace conventional tillage in the north of China.Because soil water is important restrictive factor of crop production in the north region of China, this paper summarized the studies on soil water experiment under conventional and no-tillage systems, analyzed soil water dynamic characteristics, and evaluated the effect of no-tillage on soil water content and water use efficiency.
