Abstract
Objective:To explore the effects of N-acetyl cysteine on serum inflammatory factors, immune function and pulmonary function in treatment of COPD.Methods:A total of 82 patients with COPD were randomly divided into two groups. The control group(41cases)were treated with routine drug, while the observation group(41cases)were treated with routine drug and NAC.The serum inflammatory factor interleukin 6(IL-6),interleukin-8(IL-8),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF alpha),high sensitive C reactive protein(hs CRP),T lymphocyte subsets(CD3+,CD4+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+)and indexes of pulmonary functiondetection were compared before and after treatment. Results:After treatment, serum IL-6,IL-8,TNF-αand CRP of observation group were significantly decreased compared with that before treatment and that of control group(P0.05).After treatment, the T lymphocyte subsets CD3+,CD4+and CD4+/CD8+of observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group, but CD8+was significantly lower than that in the control group, and the difference was significant(P0.05).After treatment,FVC,FEV1,FEV1% and FEVl/FVC in the observation group were significantly higher than those before treatment and control group(P0.05).Conclusion:NAC can be used to treat COPD and can reduce serum inflammatory factor, improve the cellular immune function and lung function, and it has great clinical application and popularization value.
