Abstract

Objective: To investigate the abnormal expression of VEGF and p53 in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC) tissues and correlation with prognosis of HCC.Method: The clinical data of patients with pimary liver cancer was retrospectively analyzed from January 2006 to August 2009.The VEGF and p53 expression in HCC tissues, cancer tissue and normal tissue were detected by immunohistochemistry method. Results: The VEGF and p53 expression rate in HCC group were 62.5 % and 47.5%,the adjacent group were 22.5 % and 2.5%,in the normal group did not detect p53 expression, compared the difference among the three groups were significant(P0.05);All HCC patients were followed up,of which 22 patients relapsed;the VEGF and p53 expression in recurrent HCC tissues were higher than the without recurrence group, and the difference was significant(P 0.05).Conclusion: There is abnormal expresion of VEGF and p53 in the HCC tissues, the abnormal expresion of VEGF and P53 is closely related to prognosis of HCC.
