Abstract
Zeolite is a natural aqueous silicate mineral with frame structure and numerous connecting holes.Particular crystal lattice structure makes it have excellent properties such as ion exchange,high efficient preferential adsorption,molecular filtration,dehydration,catalysis,acid resistance,heat resistance and radiation resistance.These specific properties make it possible to be widely used in water treatment.The recent domestic and foreign research achievements on the application of zeolite in water pollution treatment,particularly on complemetary action of zeolite with other absorbants,and the potential of zeolite to improve the efficiency of wastewater biotreatement and ozonation are reviewed.The research orientation in the future is also discussed
