Abstract

To study the effects of the errors of reflector antenna on its performances,a computational model for the effect of both reflector errors and phase center errors of feed on its far-field pattern is presented.In the proposed model,the electromagnetic distributions on aperture plane changed by the reflector errors and phase center errors of feed result in the variety of antenna's radiation field based on the aperture-field method.Finally,a Numerical computation of an 8-meter-diameter antenna is given to demonstrate the model and methodology of the paper,the data related to the gain and sidelobe level of the antenna are calculated and the corresponding curves are given.The obtained results can be used to the error analysis of a reflector antenna.
