Abstract
This paper presents the design of a three layer distributed control system based on PLC,SCADA and MIS to achieve the integrated control of a continuous process in a plant,and also dicusses some critical techniques,such as PLC redundant control,real time supervisory control of the SCADA system,information exchange,control algorithm implementation schemes,etc.They are performed with two application systems for total plant automation as a background.
