Abstract

Alumina ceramics have high melting pointing,excellent mechanical strength,electronic resistivity and chemical durability.Some of the recent research progress of alumina ceramics including preparation of nanometer Al\-2O\-3 powders,shock wave dealing,liquid-phase sintering,hot pressed sintering,hot isostatic pressing sintering,microwave sintering,microwave plasma sintering,spark plasma sintering et al.is reviewed in the paper.
